 Voluntary Cleanup Programs
We'll help you navigate the Maryland Department of the Environment Voluntary Cleanup Program (MDE VCP) from application preparation through to closure and every step in between. We will coordinate with the MDE for VCP pre-application meetings, prepare the application, prepare sampling and analysis plans, response action plans, corrective action plans, and provide monitoring and closure reporting. We also handle integration with multi-agency environmental requirements (e.g. Oil Control Program or Solid Waste Program).

We are also well-versed in assisting with the Brownfields Revitalization Incentive Program (BRIP). Reach out to us for application support.

 Oil Control Program
The Maryland Department of the Environment Oil Control Support Program (MDE OCP) regulates aboveground and underground oil storage, transportation of oil, oil-contaminated soil treatment facilities, and other oil-related activities in Maryland. Urban Green maintains certifications for the removal of USTs and helps our clients maintain compliance with tank closures under the MDE Oil Control Program, including emergency and planned underground storage tank assessment and removals, and corrective action plan development and implementation.

Land Restoration Program/Controlled Hazardous Substance Program
Similar to the MDE VCP, Urban Green supports clients through the Maryland Department of the Environment Land Restoration Program/Controlled Hazardous Substance Program (MDE LRP/CHS). This program is often selected as an alternative program for regulatory oversight and closure for non-petroleum impacted properties. Urban Green will assist in requesting MDE oversight, coordinating meetings with the MDE, preparing Phase I and II ESAs, corrective action plans and providing environmental oversight and closure reporting.
